AN inquest into the death of five-year-old Tyler Warmington who died from stab wounds last month will be opened on Thursday.

The Faringdon Primary School pupil's body was discovered at a property in Bromsgrove Cottages off Station Road last month.

A post-mortem report said the cause of death was 'stab wounds to the chest.'

Previously Tyler's headteacher Laura White said: "We are all deeply saddened to hear the news of Tyler's death.

"Tyler was a lively, happy little boy who particularly enjoyed building things and running around with his friends outside.

"He will be missed by all at our school. This is a difficult time for the whole school community and our thoughts are with all of Tyler's family and friends."

The opening of Tyler's inquest will be at Oxford Coroner's Court at 12noon.

Detectives have questioned a 40-year-old woman on suspicion of murder but she has since been released on bail until April 12.
