THE Oxford Mail’s exclusive yellow car stickers are being snapped up across the city as the road to Wembley continues.

Fans flocked to Delteys in Blackbird Leys Road on Saturday and again yesterday morning as cup fever began to take hold.

Hundreds of the Oxford United stickers have been produced for fans to proudly display ahead of the Checkatrade Trophy final against Coventry City on April 2.

Delteys manager Paul Whitman said the car stickers had been a hit.

He said: “We are on the way to the Kassam Stadium for many people so we had a lot of fans popping in to pick one up.

“It wasn’t just young kids but adults too.

“On Monday morning as well we had people coming in on their way to work and on the way to school, and there’s plenty more left for fans to get before making the trip to Wembley."

The stickers were handed out with match programmes before the Yellows’ victory over Scunthorpe on Saturday and can also picked up from Acorn News in St Nicholas Road, Littlemore.

In less than two weeks more than 25,000 fans will make their way to the home of football and it is hoped the journey, as well as half the stadium, will be a sea of yellow.

It is fourth time United will have appeared at Wembley and the third time in seven years.

In tomorrow’s Oxford Mail fans will be treated to a free A2-size glossy U’s team poster.
