A MAN had his finger bitten during a brutal early morning brawl in Oxford city centre.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the fist fight at about 3am last Thursday, in which a pair of men punched two others.
The four men hurled verbal abuse at each other near McDonald's in Cornmarket, leading to a fight under scaffolding in nearby St Aldates.
One man suffered facial injuries and a bite mark to his finger, while the other suffered bruising to his head.
Both managed to escape into a taxi and did not need hospital treatment.
Thames Valley Police are now trying to track down the attackers, who are both white with brown hair.
The first was described as 6ft tall, slim and in his 20s while the other was stocky and slightly shorter.
Investigating officer PC Sarah Williams from Cowley Police Station said: "We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have seen the altercation prior to the assault."
