A LACK of natural born killers in front of goal saw Oxford United’s play-off push suffer a big blow on Saturday by losing 2-0 at home to Bristol Rovers.
Even with Hollywood actor Woody Harrelson – best known for his role in Cheers – watching on from the U’s directors’ box as a guest of the club, Michael Appleton’s side failed to fire.
United’s head coach bemoaned the ‘pub football goals’ they conceded.
Football fan Harrelson is no stranger to the big stage - or big stadiums - having scored the winning penalty in a shootout at the 2010 Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford.
