POLICE descended onto Didcot Parkway railway station tonight.
Concerned residents tweeted that they had seen someone on the bridge over the train station at about 5.45pm.
It is believed police successfully helped a man off a bridge over the railway line and he is now being supported by officers.
Travel feeds also reported delays on trains to Paddington, Taunton and Cheltenham.
Basil Hill Road leading to Foxhall Road was also partially closed as police re-directed traffic.
James Davis, a spokesman for Great Western Railway, said: "There was an incident at Didcot between 17.50 and 18.10.
"It stopped services for approximately 20 minutes.
"The incident is now cleared."
Police have yet to confirm the details of the incident.
