RADIOHEAD have missed out on a Brit Award – again.

The Oxford band was nominated for best 'British group' but lost out to The 1975, a rock band from Manchester.

It was the 17th time Radiohead had been nominated for a Brit Award but they still have yet to take one home.

Other artists they were up against included Bastille, Biffy Clyro and Little Mix.

The 37th awards, taking place at the O2 Arena in London, also saw the late George Michael and David Bowie remembered with the latter winning British Male Solo Artist and the Best Album accolade for his final record, Blackstar.

And pop star Katy Perry took aim at Theresa May and Donald Trump's relationship with a politically-charged performance, joined on stage by Bob Marley's grandson Skip Marley.

The America singer introduced two skeleton puppets dressed as the US president and the Prime Minister as she performed her latest single Chained To The Rhythm.

On accepting the British group award, The 1975's Matt Healey urged famous people to share their political views.

He said: "I think people in pop music and in the broader public consciousness are told to stay in your lane, stay in your lane when talking about social issues.

"But if you have a platform don't do that, please don't do that."
