FIRE crews were called after a tree was set alight in South Oxford.
The suspected arson took place near the Redbridge Hollow site in Old Abingdon Road at about 6.50pm.
Firefighters from Rewley Road were called at 6.50pm on Monday and left about 7.20pm after tackling the blaze.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire Service said: “We sent two appliances from Rewley Road.
“This turned out to be a small fire involving a tree outside of Redbridge Hollow, which was thought to be arson.”
