Woman seriously sexuall assaulted in entrance to Covered Market

  • An investigation has been launched after a report of a serious sexual assault in the entrance to Oxford's Covered Market. Thames Valley Police officers guarded a cordon at the High Street entrance, after receiving reports of the attack at about 4am yesterday.

Orange Audi Q5 stolen from the drive of a home in Lye Valley

  • Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglar sped away in an orange Audi Q5, which was parked on the drive of a home in Dene Road Lye Valley, Oxford during the night on Saturday. The force said burglars broke into the home and stole the car keys from the kitchen. The car reg is OV14 JW**.

Wallet stolen during raid in Littlemore

  • Cash and a wallet was stolen during a burglary at a home in St Nicholas Road, Littlemore, Oxford between 10am and just after midday on Sunday. 

Have you seen the suspicious van in West Oxfordshire?

  • Police want the public’s help tracking down a ‘suspicious’ white van travelling through areas in West Oxfordshire. Thames Valley Police officers are urging residents to be on the look out for a Ford Transit Connect panel van with the partial registration number of MF57. They say the van has been seen entering yards and building sites throughout West Oxfordshire over the past few days. The force said it believes the driver of the vehicle is a white male, aged in his 30s.

Shop laptop stolen in Banbury Road

  • A laptop was stolen from a shop during a burglary in Oxford. Thames Valley Police has appealed for witnesses after the business in Banbury Road was raided during the night on Thursday. 

Burglar flees and drops his haul of cash in Summertown

  • A burglar was chased off after breaking into a house without realising somebody was home at the time on Sunday at about 9.30pm. The thief stole cash from the property in Rogers Street but dropped the money as they ran away after being disturbed by the occupier.

Budgens burglary in Faringdon

  • A specific witness is being sought by police after a burglary at the Faringdon branch of Budgens on Sunday, February 12. At about 5am two people forced their way into the store in Marlborough Street and stole a large quantity of alcohol. Since then a 26-year-old woman from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of burglary non-dwelling. She has been bailed until March 26. Investigating officers are now re-appealing to find the driver of a Volkswagen Touareg believed to have been driving nearby at the time, who could be a key witness.
