A SPECIFIC witness is being sought by police after a burglary at the Faringdon branch of Budgens on Sunday, February 12.
At about 5am two people forced their way into the store in Marlborough Street and stole a large quantity of alcohol.
Since then a 26-year-old woman from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of burglary non-dwelling. She has been bailed until March 26.
Investigating officers are now re-appealing for a witness they believe may have vital information that could help track down the burglars.
The driver of a Volkswagen Touareg is believed to have been driving nearby at about 4.39am on Sunday.
Investigating officer PC Robert Maris ofFaringdon Neighbourhood Policing said: "I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area at this time.
"In particular I would like to appeal to the driver of the Volkswagen Touareg.
"Anyone with any information can contact me via the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101."
