STAFF from Paterson Recruitment are looking forward to a busy time at The Oxford Times Jobs Fair today.

The firm is just one of many companies offering exciting new job and training opportunities across a wide variety of industries at the fair, which runs from 10am at Oxford Town Hall in St Aldates.

Today's exhibitors include care specialists  Nightcare Assistance and bus company Stagecoach.

The team of staff from Paterson, which was established in 1972, said the jobs fair was a great opportunity to recruit prospective employees for their clients.

As a result the recruitment specialists will be manning a stand for the third time running.

Paterson Recruitment, a recruitment service for temporary and permanent staff, has offices in Oxford, Abingdon, Bicester, Witney, and Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.

Emma Piper, catering consultant for Paterson Recruitment, said The Oxford Times Jobs Fair was a great opportunity for the firm to recruit prospective employees for its clients.

The 26-year-old from Witney, who has worked for the firm for 14 months, said: "The jobs fair is very useful for us - it's always very worthwhile for us to attend.

"We get to see a pool of different candidates for roles in catering, retail, commercial and industrial roles.

"The jobs fair is an excellent early point of contact and we can give prospective employees a leaflet, take their details and ask them to come and register with us afterwards.

"We can then place the recruits with clients, depending on their experience.

"The town hall is an excellent central location for the jobs fair and we will always attend if we have the chance.

"I was part of the team at the town hall in September and it was a very successful day for us."
