Sixteen suspected illegal immigrants found on the back of a lorry in Bicester have been interviewed by Immigration Services.

However the Home Office has said it will not provide a ‘running commentary’ on what happens to the stowaways now.

The men were discovered by police on board the lorry outside a Tesco store last Wednesday.

Thames Valley Police said it was called by one of the group who claimed they had been on the lorry for as long as two days.

The men, ranging in age from 23 to 52, claimed they were from Iran.
