A ‘MAJOR Incident’ affecting IT services across Oxford University sites was reported today after a power outage.
The problem was first reported at about 10am and saw Nexus email, calendar and Sharepoint - a programme for collaborative document-editing and sharing - go down.
At midday the Bodleian Libraries Twitter account warned students that some IT services would not be available, adding: "Apologies to those readers affected."

The issue has been traced to a power outage at the university’s shared data centre, in the basement of the Oxford Molecular Pathology Institute in South Parks Road.
Power is now back up and IT services are being restored in a controlled manner this afternoon.
