A MAN was knocked unconscious after a mass brawl broke out in front of Oxford Railway Station.
Police believe up to 15 people were involved in the fight in the early hours of Saturday morning which left a 19-year-old man needing hospital treatment.
The British Transport Police is urging anyone with information to come forward about the fight which happened about 4.30am.
The force said it was called to reports of up to seven people involved in a fight but believe it may have been as many as 15 - including both men and women.
Police found the teenager who had been left unconscious and he was treated in hospital for minor cuts and bruises.
Investigating officer Det Con Mat Harvey said: “Although the station was closed at this time, we know there would have been a number of people around like taxi drivers and people arriving at the station from the city centre.
“Did you see what happened? If so, please let us know as soon as you can. We cannot allow this kind of violence to take place and allow those responsible to escape without facing the consequences of their actions.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting 377 of 31/1.
