OLYMPIC rowers Andy Triggs Hodge and Fran Houghton were awarded the top honours at last night’s Oxfordshire Sports Awards.

The duo claimed the sportsman and sportswoman of the year accolades at a sold-out Kassam Stadium.

Oxford United won the team of the year prize, with rising swimming star David Murphy crowned junior sportsperson.

There was a notable double for Oxford City’s athletes, with the club of the year honour and Marcia Marriott – responsible for a number of their leading lights – the coach of the year.
