HEARTBROKEN family members of four-year-old Barnaby Cork who died after being hit by a car on Saturday have set up a charity fundraising page in his memory.

More than £15,000 has been raised in the youngsters honour since Saturday when Barnaby was knocked down in Thame Leisure Centre car park in Oxford Road.

A message on the JustGiving page, set up by Barnaby's dad Stefan, pays tribute to their precious son and thanks the efforts from emergency services.

It said: "Our precious Barnaby was our world, our everything. "He was taken from us at such a tender age;  we are so so heartbroken to say goodbye before any of us are ready.

"We would give anything to have Barnaby back in the safe and loving arms of our family.

"We were so lucky to have such amazing doctors at hand in an instant. Ella and I will forever be indebted for the speed, skill and courage of all these great people on the scene fighting with Barnaby, including the Thames Valley Air Ambulance."

Over the past week St Mary's Church invited residents to pay their respects and light a candle at the church in memory of the youngster.

The JustGiving page has so far raised £15,194 and all funds will be supporting Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

The message continued: "Every penny we can raise in memory of Barnaby could just help change the life of someone else's son or daughter.

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
