PUB staff are preparing for an invasion of knitted penguins and polar bears as they embrace National Christmas Jumper Day.
Office attire will take a tacky turn today as businesses and schools mark the national fundraising event.
The Rickety Press in Jericho is among establishments encouraging customers to wear garish festive garms, and will collect donations to Save the Children.
Manager David Procter said: “We have an end of month party and we thought ugly Christmas jumpers would be a good combination.”
Assistant general manager Dominic Nolan added: “We’ve not done it in previous years - it’s going to be incredibly busy.”
Staff will award a £20 bar tab to whoever wanders in wearing the ‘ugliest’ jumper.
