JOB seekers can access a new website to apply for roles across Oxfordshire thanks to new online jobs boards.

Newsquest Media Group, parent group of the Oxford Mail, has combined its network of 200 local newspapers and 150 local websites into 11 regional jobs boards to target those looking for employment.

The new websites will allow businesses to reach 80 per cent of the working population that would be open to a new job offer, as well as two out of 10 people looking for work.

The multi-media publishing giant is replicating the success of its top-ranked Scottish jobsite, www.s1jobs.com, with the roll-out of a network of sites to rich 34 million potential candidates.

These dedicated regional job boards aims to make it easy for job seekers to search and be alerted about local jobs quickly and easily.

Website ox1jobs.com, focused on Oxfordshire, will allow users to search locally relevant jobs without having to trawl through UK wide listings.

The launch of ox1jobs.com will be accompanied by a multi-platform advertising campaign across social media, digital and print titles with a 'Don’t quit your daydream' theme, encouraging potential applicants to pursue their dreams.

Managing director Chris Moore of Newsquest Oxfordshire said: "We advertise lots of great local jobs from local firms that are well worth getting out of bed for.

"By leveraging market leading recruitment technology, we have been able to create a highly responsive jobs site for Oxfordshire.

"Our unbeatable local presence means recruiters can focus on attracting the best talent in their area, whilst simultaneously casting their net nationwide."
