Oxford

Valerie Maughan, 37, of Moorbank, Oxford, admitted five counts of theft between November 9, 2015, and June 26, 2016. Admitted stealing alcohol, soup, ham, cheese, bacon, corned beef and clothing from four stores. Handed a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement. Also ordered to pay £239.99 compensation and £100 costs.

Waldemar Kruk, 37, of Overbrook Gardens, Oxford, admitted assaulting Natalia Kruk by beating her in Oxford on September 19. Also admitted causing criminal damage by damaging a mobile phone. Fined £125 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Also made subject to a restraining order.

Dorian Rina, 19, of Morris Crescent, Oxford, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence in Oxford on July 2. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Mark Kelly, 33, of Addison Crescent, Oxford, admitted harassing Erica Collier by contacting her more than 50 times in Hogarth Place, Abingdon between September 19 and September 22. Fined £275 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Also made subject to a restraining order.

Arron Pope, 19, of O'Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on May 5. Jailed for four weeks and ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £65 victim surcharge.

Simeon Nikolov, 20, of Sycamore Road, Botley, Oxford, possessing MDMA, a class A drug, in Wantage on April 24. Also admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug. Fined 300 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Richard Markwell, 27, of Danvers Road, Oxford, admitted stealing beer worth £12 from Co-op, Oxford, on April 6 and April 7. Fined £160 and ordered to pay £24 compensation, £80 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Matthew Graham, 38, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence towards Ria Gibbons and Maria Korou in Oxford on July 12. Also admitted stealing two bottles of wine worth £14 from Tesco, in Oxford, on the same date. Also admitted committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge order and failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates' Court. Handed a community order with a two-month electronic curfew requirement and a rehabilitation activity requirement.

Damien Tustian, 33, of no fixed abode, admitted assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty in Banbury on October 3. Jailed for four weeks and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Harold Kershaw, of Eden Drive, Oxford, admitted failing to licence 42 Coniston Avenue as a house in multiple occupation on or about March 15. Also admitted two counts of failing to comply with the management of House in Multiple Occupation regulations. Fined £2,750 and ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge and £1,250 costs.

Graham Bates, 24, of Pinnocks Way, Botley, admitted stealing £849.99 in cash from a man in Field House, West Way, Botley, on September 30. Ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and to pay £849.99 compensation.

Jay Chaston, 27, of Cowley Road, Oxford, admitted racially aggravated assault by beating a man in Littlemore Hospital on February 2. Ordered to pay £100 compensation. 

Karl Collins, AKA Barratt, 30, of Redbridge Hollow, Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a suitcase and clothes worth £229 from Matalan in Templars Retail Park, Between Towns Road, Oxford, on September 14. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. 

David Durrant, 48, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a pill box worth £14 from Alice’s Shop in St Aldates, Oxford, on April 18. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £20 compensation and £85 costs.

Georgia Jones, 18, of Birchfield Close, Oxford, convicted of assaulting a man and two women in Acacia Avenue, Oxford, on May 23. Also convicted of damaging a silver Ford Focus in Acacia Avenue on the same date. Ordered to take part in rehabilitation activity for a maximum of 25 days and carry out 40 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. Ordered to pay a total of £25050 compensation and £200 costs. 

David Clarke, 26, of Barton Village Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Barton Village Road on June 8. Ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and to pay £200 compensation, an £85 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.

Banbury

Scott Alexander, 31, of Rosina Walk, Banbury, admitted stealing eight cans of lager worth £9.64 from Londis in Banbury on August 21 and a Fisher Price handbag worth £21.99 from Mothercare in Banbury on May 27. Fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay a total of £31.63 compensation and £85 costs. 

Lee Bromley, 40, of no fixed abode, admitted possessing a plastic BB handgun in Bretch Hill, Banbury, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse on September 8. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to have treatment for drug dependency for six months and to participate in rehabilitation activity for a maximum of 20 days. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £115.
