A MAN who stole from a church, a pub, and a restaurant in Oxford has been ordered to pay £500 compensation.
James Lennon, 42, of Field Avenue, Cowley, admitted stealing a ring and a mobile phone from St Columbus Church, Alfred Street, on June 4; a laptop worth £698 from the Red Lion pub in Gloucester Street on May 20 and a handbag and its contents worth £230 from Bill's Restaurant on May 19.
Answering the charge at Oxford Magistrates' Court on September 20 he was given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £500 compensation and £85 costs.
