TWO Oxford University students will be awarded £80,000 Industrial Fellowships for their research projects.
Thomas Fleming has been awarded the funds to look at restoring the efficacy of chemotherapy on cancers that have developed resistance to anti-cancer drugs.
Tim Sudmeier is working with Siemens Corporate Technology and the University to create ammonia by electrolysis for energy storage and fertiliser production, using the electricity produced by wind farms and other renewable sources."
The funding is awarded by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, which was set up by Prince Albert to help fund British science and technology.
