GROUPS working with young men in the criminal justice system as well as local providers are invited to the launch of a new initiative in Blackbird Leys.

National charity abandofbrothers, which was first established in Brighton eight years ago, has chosen the estate to join its five existing bases in the South of England.

It pairs trained mentors with young men experiencing difficult life situations for coaching and guidance.

A launch event is taking place tomorrow night from 6.30pm in the Glow Hall, Blackbird Leys Community Centre.

Anyone who works with young men in the Oxford area and those with an interest in the criminal justice system is invited, as well as housing providers and other local charities.
