A PAIR of Oxford hairdressers will jump out of a plane in mid air to raise cash for a cancer charity.

Colleagues Ella Abazi and Sarah Thomas, who work at Beyond Hair and Beauty in Blackbird Leys Road, Blackbird Leys, will skydive to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

The pair said they wanted to "make a difference" to help fight cancer for all woman.

Ms Abazi, 32, who lives in Old Marston added: "We also want to support the fighters, admire the survivors and honour those who have been taken.

"We had a few clients in our salon who had breast cancer and also family members.

"It is just so sad and devastating to see them go through it and how it changes people's lives just like that.

"It just makes you realise that yesterday it is somebody you know, today it could me and tomorrow it could be you – anybody can get it."

Ms Abazi and Ms Thomas, 34, from Blackbird Leys will sky dive on October 8 in Swindon and hope to raise £1,000.

Ms Abazi added: "We are a little bit nervous but very exited at the same time. We can't wait for October 8. The sun better be shining.

"If we can raise more than £1,000 it would be great, any donation would be much appreciated you can donate in the salon or on our donation page."

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK but thanks to research more people are surviving more than ever before.

Breast Cancer Now is the country's largest breast cancer research charity and raises money to fund research into finding treatments and cures for the disease.
