Three schools in Didcot have closed for the day due to flooding.
Torrential rain battered much of the county overnight and at 4am this morning with South Oxfordshire being hardest hit.
A statement on the school’s website reads: “The Junior School is CLOSED today due to severe flooding.
“Years 3,4,5 and 6 have no school today. The Infant site (Foundation Stage, Year 1 and 2) is still open. Apologies for the inconvenience.”
Elsewhere the Stephen Freeman community primary school and children's centre in Freeman Road is also closed all day today due to flooding and electrical failure.
All Saints Church of England Primary School also announced it would be closing.
