PROTESTERS will march in Oxford to call on Theresa May to give Parliament a say on when Britain should quit the EU.

It follows reports the Prime Minister will not seek the backing of MPs to trigger Article 50, the formal mechanism to leave.

The march on Saturday will coincide with others in cities including London, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

This week the Oxfordshire Green Party backed the demonstration.

Spokeswoman Dr Hazel Dawe said: "Our MPs need to be confident that good, lasting agreements to secure the interests of the UK

are within our grasp before committing to a two-year timetable to withdraw."
