SCIENTISTS who have created manmade stars will lead a tour of their labs near Abingdon.

Visitors will learn the secrets lying behind closed doors at Culham Science Centre, where brainiacs have spent decades colliding tiny particles as part of their fusion energy research.

The laboratory, which is home to the world's largest fusion experiment and more than 30,000 manmade 'stars', will welcome guests on Saturday, September 10 as part of Abingdon's heritage open weekend.

Free hourly tours will run from 10am until 2pm and can be booked until September 7, via eventbrite.co.uk.
