FIREFIGHTERS tackled a garage fire which had been caused by a faulty model aircraft battery.
Crews were called to Chestnut Avenue in Thame on Thursday morning where they found flames quickly spreading to the attached bungalow.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said the fire was started when the battery, that was charging in the garage, became overheated and caught fire.
The house owners were able to escape from the house safely, although one was treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance staff.
