STAFF at Bar Meze in Headington are looking forward to the future after the restaurant re-opened after three months.

The business closed for commercial reasons but opened its doors again on Saturday and has seen a steady stream of customers since then.

Manager Yasir Hanif said he was delighted to be able to serve up Mediterranean cuisine again following the closure.

He said: "Since we re-opened on Saturday we have been busy.

"We have had lots of customers coming in to see us and try the food.

"We would like to say a huge thank you to our loyal customers for their continued support and custom."

The restaurant in London Road has also launched a new website at bar-meze.co.uk.

It can accommodate up to 100 people and is available to be booked for parties and events.

Mr Hanif said: "Bar Meze is humbled to learn that the restaurant has been a place for the community to get together and hold countless memories for our customers from birthday parties and wedding receptions to first dates.

"Bar Meze's team is ecstatic to serve Oxfordshire with their scrumptious, mouthwatering menu including our famous mezes."

The restaurant takes its name from a selection of small dishes served to accompany alcoholic drinks in the near east, the Balkans and parts of central Asia.
