A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a member of the public reported an assault in Hythe Bridge Street to police.


At about 3.15am on Sunday, July 31 a man was punched by an Asian man in the road. He sustained cuts and bruising to his eye and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment, and has since been discharged.

A man was later arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and bailed until 2 September.


Officers are looking to trace the victim, believed to be a white man with short cropped hair in his 20s, as well as anyone with information about the incident.
