The NHS in Oxfordshire is calling on patients, parents, carers and employees in Oxfordshire to have their say on how health care is delivered.

Several events run by Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group have already taken place in Oxford, Banbury, Wantage and more drop-in events are being staged next week.

Clinicians and staff will be available to share ideas on how NHS services in the county can deliver high-quality care now and in the future.

People are being asked for their views on how local GP, community and hospital services should develop so that services are of high quality, closer to home, more convenient with better access and can overcome a £200m funding gap by 2020/2021.

Programme director Damon Palmer said: "We really want the public to be partners with us in this process.

"We want people to tell us their views about how we can improve NHS services in Oxfordshire.

"We cannot afford to continue providing services in the way we have done in the past.

"Together we need to re-think how we deliver health and social care services."

The drop-in sessions will focus on the financial health challenges within Oxfordshire, how to prevent people from getting ill, and making the best use off taxpayers' money.

The Big Conversation roadshows are being held on Tuesday, from 2pm to 5pm, at St Mary’s Church, Wallingford, on Thursday from 2pm to 5pm at the Littlebury Hotel in Bicester, and on Thursday, August 4 at 11am to 2pm at the Methodist Church in Witney.
