A SLEUTH with a limp, a tragic love life and a passion for real ale was spotted in Oxford once more as filming resumed for series four of Endeavour.

Shooting took place near the Radcliffe Camera on Sunday and in New College yesterday in preparation for new episodes hitting TV screens next year.

Those fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the filming saw Shaun Evans, who plays a young Morse, as well as Dakota Blue Richards as WPC Shirley Trewlove.

Julia Atkinson, who owns cupcake company Happy Cakes, was on scene to watch production, having followed the series around other parts of Oxford in the past.

Dakota Blue Richards and Shaun Evans chat during a break in filming,

The Summertown resident said: "I am a bit of an Endeavour fan and I knew that they would be filming.

"I had a little chat with Shaun because I have met him a couple of times.

"They were filming a sort of 1960s psychedelic dance routine with umbrellas, it was very impressive.

"I was one of a handful of people there yesterday but some of New College was open to the public so people could just wander in and see it.

"I particularly like the way Endeavour has recreated the period and it is nice when you see the old cars and things."
