A 36-year-old man has died after a serious accident near Wallingford last night.
At about 10.30pm a red VW Golf was travelling south along the A4074 Port Way, Ipsden towards Reading when it came off the road and collided with trees.
A Ford Focus which was travelling in the same direction collided with the debris and the first vehicle.
The driver of the VW Golf, from Oxfordshire, has died as a result of his injuries.
His next of kin has been informed.
A 25-year-old male passenger of the VW Golf was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
The male driver of the Ford Focus was also taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information which may help with the investigation.
South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said: "We were called at 22.31 reporting a serious collision between two vehicles on the A4074 at Ipsden, near Wallingford.
"We had two rapid response vehicles, three officers, two ambulances and the air ambulance at the scene."
