A man who died following a collision with a lorry on the A40 yesterday has been named locally as Jonny Stevens. 

The pedestrian died at the scene after the crash, which happened on the Northern Bypass Road at 3.30am on Monday morning.

Tributes to the man, named locally as Jonny Stevens, have been posted on social media following the news yesterday.

Mr Stevens is believed to have performed as a DJ and hosted many gigs across the county and the UK. 

Close friend Archie Beats said he was "devastated" by Mr Stevens' death but described him as an "absolute legend who made everyone laugh."

He told the Oxford Mail: "He was just an absolute genuine nice guy who got on with everyone and brought energy and vibes to the dullest of days.

"He had a good tongue for the microphone aswell but sometimes I couldn't understand what he was staying and I don't think many did we just bounced of his energy.

"He was an absolute legend."

James Dineen posted on social media: "I can't believe it I'm absolutely gutted gobsmacked and shocked.

"A true gentleman and the life and soul of any party love you man."
