AN empty shop in Abingdon could get a sparkling lease of life from a jewellery shop.
A unit formerly used by shoe shop Scuffs, which closed on Christmas Eve, could be filled by TT Jewellers Ltd.
Its Wellingborough-based owners have put in an application to move into the shop in Market Place.
The document, which was registered online by Vale of White Horse District Council on Wednesday, outlines plans to rip off the unit's "rotten" timber frame and replace it with a cool blue exterior.
A decision is due to be made by the council by August 24.
