TWO teenagers from Blackbird Leys have been reported by the police after yet another goal was pilfered from the local football club.
In the past few weeks Oxford Blackbirds FC has complained that its moveable plastic goals, used by the under-10s when practicing, have been vandalised and stolen from the lock-up in Blackbird Leys Park by local yobs.
On the day an article on the issue was printed in the Oxford Mail, two more youths aged 15 to 16 were caught trying to steal a goal.
The club has reported it to police as an attempted theft and has asked the parents on Facebook to get in touch as it has an "ideal punishment" for the boys.
Chairman Stuart Parsons said: "Both are from the area and I know both their parents. They can come round and clear out our lock-up so that we can put the goals back in."
Police have retrieved CCTV from the area which Mr Parsons said believed he would show the pair trying to sneak off with the goal.
He added: "We have got to press charges this time otherwise the club will be seen as an easy target and they will continue to do it."
