5. Visitors to a pub in Kidlington were taught a lesson by a star from ITV's The Chase

Pub quizzes are notoriously difficult, but when you've got a TV quiz champion taking part the challenge is made near impossible.

Customers at the Black Horse pub in Kidlington had a surprise on Sunday when they heard they would be joined by Shaun Wallace, one of the stars of ITV's The Chase.

The barrister, who was booked to appear by the pub's management, took on each quiz team individually before staying behind to chat to fans after.

True to form, the television star took control of the competition winning nearly all his match-ups, with his only defeat coming when the opposing team had a two-point head start.
