A LORRY crashed into Oxford Railway Bridge in Botley Road.
The lorry, which was carrying a crane, became stuck under the bridge at about 11.30 this morning.
Thames Valley Police said a recovery operation had taken place and the vehicle had been removed.
No one has been hurt in the incident.
Police spokesman Gareth Ford-Lloyd said some damage had been caused to the bridge and some fragments had fallen into the road.
He added: "The bridge has been assessed by Network Rail and there is no structural damage.
"We are currently directing traffic."
