A hot air balloon landing the middle of a street in Abingdon caused a stir last night.
The balloon landed on a tiny patch of grass next to Wootton Road much to the curiosity of people living in the area.
Darren Weston, an ambulance officer and amateur photographer, from Abingdon, captured it coming into land at around 8.30pm.
He said: "I had seen it earlier on in the evening but much higher obviously.
"I think the pilot was running out of options - it is literally the smallest of sliver of green space and right next to a main road and a huge housing estate.
"It seemed to be quite a controlled landing.
"Lots of people came out of the houses to have a look and the people inside the balloon just calmly climbed out."
