THE FAMILY of "loving son" Sheldon Thomas have paid tribute after he died in a car crash.
The 30-year-old from Northway died in hospital after the black Volkswagen Golf he was driving hit a tree in Parks Road at 5am on Monday morning.
Police issued a tribute this morning on behalf of his family, which said: "The family of Sheldon Thomas, who was aged 30 years old said he was a loving son and is sadly missed.
"The family wish to express their thanks to all the family and friends that have shown their support during this sad time.
"The family wish to have their privacy respected and time to grieve as a family and have asked if anybody has any information regarding the collision to call Thames Valley Police."
Friends and family have been leaving flowers and candles at the scene since the crash along with their own personal messages.
Another man, in his twenties, was seriously injured but is not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
