OXFORD

Joseph Joyce, 24, of Red Bridge Hollow, Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress in New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, on March 16 this year. Handed a £100 fine and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Jordan Sumner, 20, of Long Close, Headington, admitted driving a Ford Fiesta without third party insurance and without a licence in Cinnaminta Road, Oxford, on January 26 this year. Also admitted driving the Ford Fiesta in the same road on the same day when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), in his blood was greater then 7 microgrammes per litre, exceeding the specified limit. Handed a £300 fine and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £170 costs. Also banned from holding or obtaining a licence for 16 months.

Aaron Willett, 34, of Hardings Close, Oxford, admitted possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis, and being concerned in the production of cannabis at his home on March 14 this year. Handed a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Aron Beckett, 25, of Sorrell Road, Blackbird Leys, found guilty of assaulting Victoria Appleby by beating her at an address in Chillingworth Crescent, Oxford, on March 3 this year. Admitted assaulting Victoria Appleby by beating her at the same address on January 4 this year. Handed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered to carry out a rehabilitation activity requirement for 35 and take part in the Building Better Relationships programme for 31 days. Also ordered to pay £200 compensation, £80 victim surcharge and £200 costs and handed a restraining order banning him from contacting Victoria Appleby or going to an address in Chillingworth Crescent, Oxford.

Anthony Joyce, 28, Red Bridge Hollow, Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted committing fraud between April 1, 2013, and May 23, 2014, by dishonestly failing to disclose to Vale of White Horse District Council the income he was receiving from selling scrap metal while claiming obtaining council tax reduction. Also admitted committing fraud between December 6, 2012, and December 13, 2014, by dishonestly failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions that he was was self-employed dealing in scrap metal while claiming Employment Support Allowance. Also admitted failing to tell Vale of White Horse District Council he was self-employed dealing in scrap metal while claiming Council Tax Benefit between December 6, 2012, and March 31, 2014, and Housing Benefit between December 6, 2012, and May 22, 2014. Handed a 20-week prison sentence suspended for two years with a nine-month supervision requirement. Also ordered to pay £80 victim surcharge and £370 costs.

BANBURY

Dean Colling, 32, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing perfume worth £100.50 from a shop in Castle Quay, Banbury, on April 19; stealing DVDs worth £300 from One Stop in Banbury on December 7 and stealing DVDs worth £95.90 from WH Smith in Castle Quay, Banbury, on December 28. Also admitted committing an offence during the operation period of a suspended sentence. Sentenced to a total of four months in prison and ordered to pay a £115 victims’ surcharge.

Terri Plumstead, 27, of Alma Road, Banbury, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Banbury on February 24. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Kelly Barrett, 37, of Kings Road, Banbury, admitted assaulting a police sergeant in the execution of his duty in Kings Road, Banbury, on March 29. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to fund a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.

Stuart Glen, 21, of Windrush Valley Road, Witney, admitted taking a vehicle without consent and then damaging it too a value of less than £5,000 in Witney on March 31. Also admitted driving a vehicle without insurance and driving a vehicle without a licence in Witney on the same date. Sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving or holding a licence for 12 months.

Jason Warmisham, 43, of Portal Drive South, Upper Heyford, Bicester, admitted drink-driving in Peregrine Way, Bicester on March 28. Had 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving or holding a licence for 25 months.

Valeska Appleyard, 57, of Conifer Drive, Bicester, admitted being in charge of a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs in Tesco Express car park, Holm Square, Bicester, on February 26. Fined £190 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with 10 points.

Ian Ell, 36, of Middleton Road, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Banbury on March 19. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Kevin Kewin, 41, of Verney Road, Banbury, admitted producing cannabis, a class B drug, in Banbury on January 4. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to fund a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Stevie Timperley, 28, of Hughes Close, Charlbury, admitted stealing cheese and meat worth £61.38 from The Co-operative in Woodstock on September 17 and stealing alcohol worth £80.75 from The Co-operative in Oxford on February 20. Ordered to take part in rehabilitation activity for a maximum of 30 days and to pay £61.38 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
