A blazing car in Faringdon was made safe by firefighters after it caught alight this morning.

A fire engine was sent to the scene at 9.50am after the diesel vehicle in Lechlade Road went up in flames.

Fire and rescue service duty manager Mark Oddi said crews battled the flames for about half an hour before the fire was put out.

He said nobody was hurt in the incident.
