FRESH from her first success as a jockey at Wincanton on Thursday, Victoria Pendleton could bid for more glory at tomorrow’s Kingston Blount point-to-point.

The first meeting of the season at the course, which gets under way at 1pm, has attracted 110 entries for the seven-race card.

Pendleton is expected to partner Supreme Danehill in the Kingston Blount Racing Club Conditions Race for Aston Rowant trainer Alan Hill.

The Ladies Open looks the hottest race of the day, with Hill’s Start Royal, victorious for the last two years, potentially facing a pair of Cottenham winners – Khyber Kim and Sagalyrique.

Volcan Surprise is yet another course winner from last year who may reoppose, while Wantage’s Henrietta Knight continues her return to the ranks of point-to-point trainers and has entered Ballypatrick.

The feature event of the day is the Lawney Hill Racing Men’s Open.

The wife of Alan will be hoping her husband can win some of the sponsorship money back with Consigliere.

“I hope he’s a good thing if the ground rides on the quicker side of good,” said Alan.

The course is located at Kingston Grove, Kingston Blount, OX39 4SG, well signposted off the B4009 towards Chinnor.
