FIVE people arrested in connection with poaching in South Oxfordshire have been bailed until next month.
It comes after police searched fields with dogs and a force helicopter was deployed to help about 4pm yesterday following reports of hare coursing in East Hendred, near Wantage.
The following people were arrested:
- A 25-year-old man, from Hertfordshire, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property and daytime trespass in pursuit of game/poaching bailed until March 28.
- A 16-year-old boy, from Winnersh, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property and daytime trespass in pursuit of game/poaching bailed until March 27.
- A 16-year-old boy, from Thatcham, arrested on suspicion of daytime trespass in pursuit of game/poaching bailed until March 27.
- A 16 year old boy, from Thatcham, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property and daytime trespass in pursuit of game/poaching bailed until March 27.
- A 22-year-old man, from Newbury, arrested on suspicion of daytime trespass in pursuit of game/poaching bailed until March 27.
