The county is set to be battered by gales with gusts of up to 50mph today.
The Met Office has forecast the wind will hit sometime after 11am as the gales move east across the country.
It has issued a yellow severe weather warning, meaning disruption is possible.
The warning is in addition to its current warning for rain across the county, with up to 30mm expected to fall today.
The River Evenlone is expected to flood in Cassington, with water levels rising throughout the day.
The Met Office believe this could lead to the flooding of low lying land and roads this afternoon.
Rain is predicted for the entire weekend and the River Glyme is also expected to flood at Wootton and Woodstock.
