FLOODING remains a problem in Oxfordshire this morning as twelve alerts stay in place. 

The Environment Agency lists the dozen alerts which include a new one for the River Thames released yesterday. 

Surface water on the roads is causing problems today including in Shillingford where drivers are having to pass on the other side

Traffic is slow in Long Hanborough on Lower Road due to flooding, with cars queuing onto Common Road.

Drivers in Yarnton face the same problem on the A44 Woodstock Road at Cassington Road.

'Jason Priest' reported deep water on the road between Hanborough and Eynsham. 

'Chris Burutta' reported flooding on the A417 near East Challow.

Councillor Neil Prestidge said the fire brigade were attending to floods in Kidlington.

Heavy rain battered Oxford again last night, with light rain forecasted for 2pm today according to the Met Office
