ALMOST two thirds of those living in Oxford think they live in a city full of attractive people.

It comes as part of a poll by YouGov, which showed that 64 per cent of participants thought other people living in the city were fairly or very attractive.

It is significantly higher than Southampton, where only 30 per cent of respondents rated their fellow residents as fairly or very attractive.

Brighton came out the highest, with 74 per cent rating themselves as fairly or very attractive.

Miss Oxford Shirin O'Neil said she thought the statistics were accurate and said the city was known for being home to attractive people.

She said: "I agree that the city is full of attractive people, so the information is definitely true."

The poll also showed 63 per cent of Oxford residents considered other people in the city to be very caring and 62 per cent thought they were fairly friendly.

This was much higher than Southampton where only 45 per cent of residents believed their neighbours were fairly caring.
