A long throw from Andy Ballard was only cleared to Marvin Martin, who fired into the top corner, before Williams made it 2-0 in the tenth minute.

Didcot, who gave a debut to Oxford United youth player George Jeacock, made it 3-0 when Williams played in Jack Self who fired home his first goal in his 72nd appearance for the club.

Early in the second half when Ballard headed home the fourth from Adam Learoyd’s cross.

Carnell was sent off ten minutes from time for blocking a goalbound effort with his arm and Jamie Lyon converted the resultant penalty.

Williams slotted in his second five minutes from time.

Visiting striker Dean Griffiths was sent off in stoppage time after an altercation with Williams.

Wantage Town recorded their second successive victory under interim manager Stuart Cattell with a 2-1 win at Slimbridge.

Ben Whitehead put them ahead in the the first minute and he made it 2-0 five minutes after the break.

Slimbridge’s only response came from a penalty two minutes from time by Paul Fahy.

Despite having to play the second half with ten man after Leam Howards had been sent off, Banbury United earned a 2-2 draw at Swindon Supermarine.

Banbury went behind in the 34th minute to a firm shot from Ash Taylor.

They drew level in the 41st minute when Darius Browne scored from close range.

Howards was sent off in stoppage time for violent conduct after tangling with Ross Adams.

Despite the disadvantage, Banbury regained the lead in the 63rd minute through the prolific Ricky Johnson.

Josh Parsons levelled for the hosts 15 minutes from time but they were denied a win by keeper Jack Harding.

New signing Steve Davies scored for North Leigh, whose stuttering form continued with a 2-1 defeat at Tiverton Town.
