THE HIGH demand for adult nursing courses at Oxford Brookes will see a new and improved campus built to meet the need.

Oxford Brookes University has been granted planning permission to move its existing Ferndale Campus - for health and life sciences - in Swindon to a larger site on the Delta Business Park.

The new campus will provide a greater capacity and contain skills labs, library, catering facilities and improved spaces for research and student support.

Oxford Brookes University Vice Chancellor Professor Alistair Fitt said: "We are delighted to be announcing our new home in Swindon. It is the right time for the University to relocate to new premises which match the level and quality of our teaching and support.

"It is well known that there is an appetite for enhanced higher education in Swindon and this £10 million investment [over the next decade] represents our commitment to continuing to grow and enhance our provision.”

The new campus is yet to be named but will be in the Delta 900 building at the Swindon business park.
It is hoped the university will move to the new site in summer 2016.
