Four members of a gang that conducted a crime spree across the South East, including in Oxfordshire, have been jailed for 18 years.

Danny Stevens, Paul Smith, Jason Eastwood an Luke Cole, from Hampshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and South Yorkshire, were sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on Friday ((13/11)) after pleading guilty to commit burglary and conspiracy to steal.

Between November 16, 2014 and April 27, 2015 the gang committed 39 offences, making off with £1m of goods - including vehicles and trophies - £300,000 from ATMs.

According to Thames Valley Police, the group stole a Mazda B2200 pick-up truck from Laburnum Grove, Banbury, on December 7 2014.

They returned to the town the following day ((8/12)) and carried out a burglary at Morrisons, South Bar Street.

Other offences committed elsewhere included blowing open cash machines using gas and stealing trophies from the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team.

Detective Constable Matt Earl, of Surrey Police, said: "These men put others and themselves at risk in their chaotic and quite frankly dangerous attempts to access cash machines.

"They have showed absolutely no remorse and have ultimately paid the price because of their greed.”
