Police officers are tonight continuing their search of Boxhill Park in Abingdon as part of their investigation into the murder of Kerry Reeves.

Last night officers cordoned off a section of the park to search for evidence.

That search has continued throughout today into this afternoon.

Superintendent Jim O'Ryan from Thames Valley Police tweeted that the search was continuing and re-assured people that the community was not at risk.

The 26-year-old was shot outside a block of flats in Thornhill Walk, Abingdon, on Tuesday last week, and rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she died nearly two days later.

Last night Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said detectives were "widening their search" for evidence as part of the investigation.

The murder weapon has not yet been found by police.

This morning two men charged with the murder of Miss Reeves are to appear in Oxford Magistrates' Court.

The charges are in connection with an incident at around 8.20pm last Tuesday when emergency services were called to a reports of woman having been shot in Thornhill Walk off Northcourt Road.

Last night police charged two men with her murder - Billy Johnson and Charles Noble.

Billy Johnson, aged 20, from Ripon Court, Corby, Northamptonshire, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder.

Charles Noble, aged 20, from Kempton Avenue, Northolt, Ealing, London, was previously arrested in connection with the murder on Wednesday November 4.

He was re-arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder.
