CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save Oxfordshire's children's centres will march in Oxford on Saturday.
They are set to protest against proposals by Oxfordshire County Council to close all 44 of the centres and seven early intervention hubs and replace them with eight "Children & Family Resource centres".
These would offer a slimmed-down service for the most vulnerable people aged 0 to 19, but campaigners say cutting universal services is a "false economy".
The proposals would save £8m, as the council grapples with its finances in the face of central government cuts.
At 1pm on Saturday, protestors are due to meet in Bonn Square, before they march through the city centre to the Clarendon Building in Broad Street.
